Because of some bad experiences in the past, her mother didn’t want Shitole to work in the film and media industry. She wanted her to progress towards becoming an IFS officer. So to clear the UPSC test, she had to learn numerous unknown dialects such as Japanese, Sanskrit, German and so forth.

Neha Shitole made her debut as an on-screen character with the Marathi movie called Deool in 2011. In 2013, she acted in the Marathi film called Popat that year she also featured in the Marathi Television show called Fu Bai Fu. In the year 2014, she was seen in the Marathi TV show called Tu Tithe Mi. In 2016, she played the lead role in the Marathi movies named Poshter Girl and Disha. Later in the year 2018, she played the character of Constable Katekar’s wife Shalini in the web series called Scared Games. She also featured in Marathi Natak in the year 2018 titled Bye Bye Bayko.
In 2019, Neha Shitole was seen in Marathi film called Readymix she also played the lead role in the Marathi movie named Sur Sapata. In the year 2019, she is the contestant of the Bigg Boss Marathi Season2.
