Shanmukh Jaswanth, also known as Shanmukh Jaswanth Kandregula, is a dancer, actor, and Youtube Personality. He is best known for his comic skits and dance videos on his YouTube channel. Apart from YouTube, he has also acted in a Hindi web series Men Will Be Men (2017) and Telugu web series The Software DevLOVEper (2020). Presently, he is contesting in the fifth season of Bigg Boss Telugu.

Shanmukh Jaswanth is a 27 years old YouTuber who was born on 16 September 1994. His hometown is in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. As a child, he was passionate about performing arts. Presently, he uploads many dance videos on his YouTube account but, he has never learned any dance course. While in college, he began uploading short dance videos on his social media profiles. The actor has become an internet sensation through his videos. Shanmukh is fondly called Shannu by his loved ones.

EDUCATION
Shanmukh went to Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, where he studied for a year. After that, he attended Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
CAREER
He started his own YouTube channel, Shanmukh Jaswanth, in 2012. Before he became a YouTuber, the actor used to share his videos on other social media platforms. The first video that he uploaded on his channel was Cadbury Laddu Ad by Shanmukh. At the same time, he also made appearances in another YouTube channel, VIVA. In the following year, he acted in another YouTube video, The Viva by Sabarish Kandregula. The video received a great response and motivated him to upload more videos.
Subsequently, he marked his appearance in many videos of VIVA called The Interview by Sabarish Kandregula (2013), The Big Fat Proposal (2016), and the series of Viva News.
In an interview, Shanmukh disclosed that soon after functioning with VIVA, he detected himself classified as an unconscious and foolish questioner. He told,
After VIVA, I got a few offers where my character was restricted to that of VIVA which didn’t interest me. I am looking for a meaty role.”
In 2017, Shanmukh uploaded the dance cover of the song titled You and Me (Khaidi No 150) oh his self titled YouTube channel. Afterwards, he uploaded dance covers like Kala Chashma, Bezuban, and Hosanna.
Although he wanted to go ahead in the field of dancing, soon he started receiving floundering copyright problems from many filmmakers and quit making dance videos.
In 2020, he featured in two comedy series named Men Will Be Men and The Software DevLOVEper.
Moreover, Shamukh acted in many short movies like Seetha I’m Not A Virgin (2017), Boomerang (2017), and Chaturvyuha (2018). As of now, he has more than 2 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
In addition to YouTube videos and short films, he is actively participating in reality shows also. In 2021, Jaswanth made an appearance in the dance reality show Dance Plus Telugu.

CONTROVERSY
- In 2017, he attracted controversy when a complaint was lodged against Jaswanth and his girlfriend Deepthi Sunaina for the short-film Sita, I Am Not A Virgin. Ostensively, the reason behind the complaint was the title of the film that prompted the displeasure of the Hindu group. In Hinduism, Sita is a deity and one of the fundamental particulars of the Hindu saga Ramayana, hence, using the expression I am not a Virgin in the title harm the feelings of Hindus. While talking about the haters, Shanmukh told,
Whatever is happening is ridiculous. Our aim was to send out a message. It is a bold subject, but there’s nothing controversial like people are making it out to be. Sita is just the name of a character, and the film has nothing to do with the Ramayana. Without watching the film, assumptions are being made based on the title.”
Afterwards, the title was replaced with Seetha I’m Not A Virgin to remove the allegations.
